In The Neighbourhood | Paris Butter

New to our Jervois Road strip is Nick Honeyman's French-style bistro cafe, Paris Butter. And you only need to step through the door to be transported to the bustle and romance of 'The City of Lights'.

Paris Butter features a fine mixture of interior delights: glass cut chandeliers and sea-blue velvet bench seating, with a nod to the typical French-country feel found in cross-back wooden chairs and striped linen napkins. But the newly opened bistro really comes to life through its menu... "Paris Butter takes its name from 'cafe de Paris', the complex butter sauce famous for making a steak come alive."

We treated our tastebuds to an entree of Gin Cured Salmon served with a delicate combination of crème fraîche, red onion and dill. Divine. Our conversation steered from words into sounds, mouths full of appreciation. But the goodness didn't stop there, next, we sampled the Confit Chicken with Smoked Lentils and Vegetables — subtle and moreish. All washed down with a glass of Provence Rosé.

Highly recommended. We will be back.
Paris Butter — delicious, lively with a certain je ne sais quoi...
