A postcard from Paris— Astier de Villatte

To celebrate the arrival of ceramic works by Astier de Villatte we share with you a peek into the home of founders Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte. Their apartment in Paris, located in the 5th arrondissement, is a space of wonder with seventeenth-century floor tiles, incredible furniture and high ceilings. Every surface homes a curious object or a breathtaking artwork.

"We have gathered pieces that we love and in this beautiful space with this beautiful volume they become perfectly in tune" says Ivan.

The apartment is thoughtful ecceletism at its finest, and reminds us why we should trust the things we love. "There is nothing worse in decoration, than a wise interior, you have to dare, follow your instinct."
The creative duo met at Beaux-Arts when they were students. The two fell in love with the history and potential of the building, despite it being occupied by a travel agency who did not necessarily prioritise the aesthetical beauty of the building. The furniture and objects reflect the instinctual approach Pericoli and De Villatte take to their home. The white washed masonry walls mirror the organic white glaze of the famed Astier ceramics. The apartment is thoughtful ecceletism at its finest, and reminds us why we should trust the things we love.
