The Paddington Inn, Sydney

Lunch at one of Sydney's most celebrated boutique pubs...

Situated on Oxford Street, The Paddington Inn is a bustling boutique pub that has recently experienced a refresh from some of the best-in-the-business, offering a seasonal menu and a range of beautifully thought out dining spaces.

Young chef Justin Schott (Rockpool, Kitchen by Mike) has created a menu that is fresh, concise and wonderfully surprising. We decided to try the Squid + Cashew + Green Melon Salad, Poached Tamarillo + Buffalo Ricotta Salad with Baked Potato Fries (an absolute must-order) and Witlof Salad on the side. One hundred percent delicious.

Celebrated designer George Livissianis has infused the main dining space with white-washed brick walls, cane bench seats, and vintage Persian rugs alongside an open kitchen filled with busy chefs, shelves of stacked ceramic plates and copper pans. The highlight, though, was the wall of single-line drawings by one of our favourite artists, Christiane Spangsberg.
